HAE EHA has set up a new dedicated legal helpline that will provide members with a free 30-minute consultation on anything concerning hire and commercial contract law. Members will have the further option to purchase additional legal guidance in half-hour segments for a fixed price of £75.
The aim is to provide members with a cost-effective legal solution, including the option to reduce legal costs further by doing the correspondence and County Court claims themselves. For members wanting a solicitor's letter or more intensive assistance, a fixed fee of £170 per hour has been agreed. For more complex cases requiring court representation, support is available from as little as £275 per hour. However, depending on the case and complexity, a lawyer will provide in advance a detailed quotation, based on the requirements of the case.
The dedicated legal helpline number is 0121 769 1688 and is answered by HAE's legal team on business working days, apart from holiday periods, who will help members with legal problems from commercial dealings around terms and conditions, breach of contracts, damaged goods and other issues concerning contractual law.
Set up in collaboration with Boardroom Matters Ltd, following the free half hour consultation, the service allows members to buy further support to assist with legal actions like letter writing, drafting legal documents, data protection support or general guidance.
Boardroom Matters, which is facilitating the service as part of a legal network, has teamed up with one of the UK's top legal providers to give HAE EHA members access to first-class legal advice and support at fixed rates within the UK and Europe.
