The Showman’s Show is always an important date in the EHA calendar and this year’s event was no exception. The team headed to Newbury Showground on Wednesday 18th – Thursday 19th October to meet with exhibitors and visitors from across the event sector.
For 2017 EHA decided to take an additional stand to promote the SafeHire Certification Scheme, affording EHA the opportunity to make end users of hired event equipment aware of its highly acclaimed industry standard. Many event and festival organisers, local authority representatives and showground owners have gone away from the show knowing that, in future, they must work with event equipment hire companies that bear the orange SafeHire logo!
We were delighted with the number of visitors who stopped by our stand to learn more about membership and the benefits and services available to them. EHA is looking forward to increasing membership numbers as a result.
On the Wednesday afternoon, the Show's Campfire Sessions also delivered the perfect platform to demonstrate our innovative activity with presentations on future methods of events training through Virtual Reality; raising standards in the hire industry and preparing for big changes to the Data Protection regulations due to be introduced next May.
Following the Campfire Sessions, we hosted a drinks reception for members which was well received. We’re already planning and looking forward to taking part in the Showman’s Show 2018.
