Plant tracking specialist AMI Group has been confirmed as the headline sponsor of the Construction Plant-hire Association’s (CPA) Annual Construction Plant Conference 2017 which is taking place on 31st October.
The one-day event, which is being hosted at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre near Coventry, brings together experts from the industry, including plant manufacturers, plant hirers, construction companies and service suppliers. The CPA is the leading trade association for the industry and has over 1,600 members who supply some 85% of equipment used in construction. The sector generates over £4bn a year and invests £1.3bn in new equipment annually.
Peter Stockton, Operations Director at AMI Group said: “The conference attracts key decision makers from across the industry and forms the principal point of discussion for construction plant issues in the UK, so we are absolutely delighted to be the headline sponsor of such a high profile event.”
As part of the sponsorship, AMI Group will have a large exhibition stand at the event and will showcase the company’s latest innovations to help combat plant theft and enable the recovery of stolen plant equipment such as Mini Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers and Generators. Other confirmed exhibitors include GenQuip, ECY Haulmark and Datatag.
AMI Group offers a range of tracking devices which utilise GPS (Global Positioning System), GSM (Global System for Mobile Frequency) and RF (Radio Frequency) technology and the company’s Nexis real-time web-based platform allows customers complete control and visibility of their plant fleets.
The company is innovating the smallest, most covert tracking devices which can be concealed almost anywhere on any piece of plant machinery without being detected by thieves. Industry-wide, just 10% of stolen plant is successfully recovered, but 100% of stolen equipment protected with a covertly installed AMI tracking device has been successfully recovered.
